She is Chief Trade Facilitation Section at the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and Traceability Project Lead, where she leads the work on policies and standards for sustainable and digital trade facilitation and is currently managing a global multi-stakeholder initiative on green and inclusive value chains in the textile and clothing industry. At UNECE since 2011, she has been focusing on international trade and environmental governance. Before joining the UN, she was with the European Commission, and the ILO, and has managed World Bank funded projects for institutional reforms in emerging economies around the world.

Leonardo Raffaelli is Managing Director of Lanificio Balli. He is a proudly citizen of Prato and has always been at Lanificio Balli, because living the reality of the ‘Historic Factory’ is part of the Raffaelli family's DNA. After finishing his studies at the T. Buzzi Technical Institute, he immediately immersed himself in the textile reality of the company to try to understand everything that lies behind what he still considers the ‘most beautiful job in the world’. After the first few years, during which he experienced all the company's production phases, he deepened his knowledge and understanding of the dynamics behind the creation of a metre of fabric; he moved into a more commercial role, especially with foreign customers. Thus began a long season of travelling around the world, meeting customers and promoting Lanificio’s fabrics with pride and passion. In 2017, he joined the company in which he is now the majority shareholder. Over the last few years, while maintaining a commercial nature, he has also worked in roles of support for young people in the company and has been active in representing the company at an institutional and association level. Today, while always feeling like an ‘Apprentice of the Craft, because in the end you never stop learning, he has initiated the transformation of the company's business model towards a path of Sustainability.

He led major strategic projects (industrial scenarios, competitiveness analysis of Italian factories and “made in Italy” districts, alliances between industrial players, etc.) as well as more operational projects (management of business portfolio, redesign of industrial systems, improvement of operational performances, etc.) in collaboration with both leading corporations (national and international with operations located in Italy) and innumerable small-and-medium-sized companies. The company manufactures and distributes ready-to-wear products, particularly men's and women's accessories, on an international level, developing the complete cycle: from the creative phase involving the design and planning of fabrics, through to finishing (weaving, dyeing, printing and finishing). He is a member of the Board of Directors of Herno and Schneider Group.
