Lor Albrighi is Co-CEO & Founder of SPIN – Smart Products Infrastructure Network, the leading Operating System for Luxury, Art and Culture.
Born in London in 1987 and raised between Florence and Milan, Lor developed early on a profound passion for design and Italian bespoke tailoring. He started his journey at the age of twenty as an apprentice tailor at the historic sartoria A. Caraceni in Milan, spending five years travelling and sewing suits for international aristocracy and titans of industry. He then established his own tailoring house in Milan in 2013, ranked among the top three ateliers by the LVMH City Guide Milan, before raising funds from the Co-Founder of Net-a-Porter, as first angel investor, to start his R&D technology lab, lablaco, in Singapore in 2016, with a mission to solve fashion’s greatest problems of waste, lack of digitisation and IP protection for designers and brands. This led to six years of R&D and to the creation of SPIN, founded in December 2024 in San Francisco.
SPIN is a Smart Products Operating System with end-to-end software and hardware infrastructure enabling brands and creators to easily connect Real World Assets (RWA) to Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks (DePIN), leveraging on-chain RFID smart labels to connect their assets to the SPIN OS ecosystem of applications and services and to Extended Reality (XR) immersive experiences. Notable smart-product applications in the SPIN OS App Store include the official European Union on-chain Digital Product Passport (DPP), which will become a mandatory requirement for all textile products sold in the EU by 2027, creating a demand for 62.5 billion DPPs between 2025 and 2027. In March 2025 SMARTMERCH™ was created as a smart-products-as-a-service, offering custom finished apparel goods to Fortune 500 companies, startups, universities, music festivals, governments and leading global conferences.
SPIN already serves industry leaders such as Kering, Galeries Lafayette, H&M, Vogue, Paris Fashion Week and Art Basel, and has entered strategic partnerships with NVIDIA, the European Union and the French Ministry of Culture.
