Luca Mari is a Full Professor of Measurement Science at the School of Industrial Engineering, LIUC – Università Cattaneo in Castellanza (VA), where he teaches Experimental Data Analysis and Statistics, Design for Dynamic Systems, and Digital Thinking.
His research focuses on Measurement Science and its connections with Information and Communication Technologies, and he is the author of numerous scientific publications. He is also actively involved in outreach activities on digital culture and artificial intelligence for schools, companies, and various organizations.
He is an expert of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) in WG2 (VIM) of the Joint Committee for Guides in Metrology (JCGM), President of the Society for the Study of Measurement (SSM), and Chair of the Task Group on Fundamental Concepts in Metrology (CCU-TG-FCM).
He serves as Cultural Director of idea.lab, the Territorial Laboratory for Employability of the Province of Varese, and is the designer and lead developer of STGraph, a software engine for dynamic systems simulation.
Professor Mari has also served on the editorial boards of Measurement and Metrology and Measurement Systems, and has acted as a reviewer for numerous international journals in measurement science, philosophy of science, and psychometrics.
Luca Mari è Professore Ordinario di Scienza della Misurazione presso la Scuola di Ingegneria Industriale dell’Università Cattaneo – LIUC di Castellanza (VA), dove insegna Analisi dei Dati Sperimentali e Statistica, Progettazione per Sistemi Dinamici e Digital Thinking.
Svolge attività di ricerca sulla Scienza della Misurazione e sulle sue relazioni con le Scienze e Tecnologie dell’Informazione, ed è autore di numerose pubblicazioni scientifiche. È inoltre impegnato in attività di divulgazione sulla cultura digitale e sull’intelligenza artificiale presso scuole, aziende e organizzazioni.
